Dash Alarms

The AiM MXS Dash, when supplied by the factory after Jan 16 2024, has the following icons and alarms:

Alarms

  • Oil Pressure < 5psi: LED 4 blinks yellow and message "Low Oil Pressure" is displayed.

  • Oil Pressure > 90psi: LED 4 blinks fast red and message "High Oil Pressure" is displayed.

  • Oil Pressure > 120psi: LED 4 blinks fast red and message "Very High Oil Press" is displayed. This message will not be dismissed until the car is turned off.

  • Water Temp > 230F: LED 5 blinks yellow and message "High Water Temp" is displayed.

  • Water Temp > 238F: The top two rows of LEDs blink fast and message "Very High Water Temp" is displayed. This message will not be dismissed until the car is turned off.

  • Water Temp > 248F: All LEDS blink and "HI TEMP TURN CAR OFF" is shown on the car. Turn the car off immediately.

Icons

Oil

  • An oil pressure warning icon is shown at low pressures (<10psi) and high pressures (above 90; dismisses below 60).

  • A blue oil pressure icon is shown between 45-60psi, indicating that the engine is cold.

Water

  • A red water temp icon is shown above 230F, indicating that there may be a problem with the thermostat or air in the lines. Consider shutting off the engine ASAP.

  • A blue water temp icon is shown below 160F, indicating that the engine is cold.

Maintenance Intervals

  • An blue oil change icon will be shown at the bottom right of the dash every 640mi (approx 8 hours). After changing the oil, reset Usr 3.

  • A blue motor refresh icon will be shown at the bottom right of the dash every 12000mi (approx 150 hours). After refreshing the motor and gearbox, reset Usr 4.
